There was a point in time where I was anxious and somewhat afraid to even go out in public because I didn’t want to experience the inevitable
I didn’t want to be stared at
I didn’t want to be talked about as I passed by
I didn’t want to be judged as “less” just because I was born differently
& then I realized that it doesn’t matter. It doesn’t matter what people say or do. It just doesn’t matter
Of course it still hurts when people do that to me...but as soon as I realized that it truly doesn’t matter if someone thinks I look weird or funny, I gained my whole life back.
The fear didn’t control my world anymore
